Glenfarg Village Folk Club and 32nd Glenfarg Folk Feast (Friday 9th, Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th April)

John Hinshelwood and Sandra Gellatly

John and Canadian vocalist Sandra sing a heady mix of finely crafted songs with thought provoking lyrics in Scottish roots, Americana, bluegrass and folk styles with skilful guitar accompaniment. As “The City Sinners” they performed a show based on the life and music of the late Gram Parsons.

North Sea Gas

One of Scotland’s most popular folk bands with great vocals and tremendous three part harmonies. A multi-instrumentalist group with guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bouzouki, bodhrans, banjo and good humour all part of the entertainment. With 14 albums to their credit and gold and silver disc awards from the Scottish Music Industry Association, these guys are flying high.

Alan Taylor

One of England’s best singer songwriters, his songs are written from a lifetime of travelling, always the observer passing through. With his velvety voice and intricate guitar playing, and songs like “It’s Good to see you”, “Roll on the day”, “Chimes at Midnight”, each song is a vignette of life. An unforgettable experience.

Tich Frier

We always extend a warm welcome to Tich Frier. He is known for his great voice, driving guitar style and uncontrollable sense of humour. His most recent CD “Shanghaied” has received many accolades from worthy critics around the world. We are looking forward to hearing him again and sharing in his songs and observations from his travels far and near.

The Sunday of last year's Glenfarg Folk Feast was blessed with wonderful warm spring weather and everyone sat outside in the gardens enjoying the blue skies, the sun, the beer, and the music.
If someone is in a position to order a whole weekend of that weather for this year's event, it would be much appreciated.
