From today's Scotsman...

"An upsurge in interest in traditional music has meant the stirring sound of the pipes and drums is growing louder in a network of small huts across Scotland.
As the Army Cadet Force (ACF) marks its 150th anniversary this year, an increasing number of recruits in various corps are being taught piping and drumming.
Major Jim Stout, who runs cadet piping and drumming in the UK, said: "In the last couple of years, we've seen a tremendous increase in the number of young people looking to learn."
As well as weekend and week-long tuition, an annual piping and drumming cadre is open to any cadet who wishes to learn the traditional instruments. This year 200 cadets will attend."
