Blas is a festival with an accent on traditional Highland culture. This festival, which it is hoped will become an annual event involving many of the Highland communities, will feature young people from the Feis movement working alongside their professional musician mentors.
Blas has been devised by The Highland Council in partnership with Fèisean nan Gàidheal and the Promoters Arts Network. TIt is their hope to work with anyone who would like to be part of the festival, and that Blas will grow from year to year into an international celebration of Highland music and Gaelic.
