    Moniaive Folk Festival 9th - 11th May 2008

    A lovely community festival.  Moniaive is set in the beautiful Cairn Valley approximately 15 miles north of Dumfries and eight miles to the west of Thornhill. There are usually Friday and Saturday concerts and a ceilidh in the Memorial Institute, and competitions sessions, workshops and more in the local hotels throughout the weekend. Car park with picnic area, small campsite
