The annual Lossiemouth Folk Club Festival sounds like loads of fun! This is a FREE festival (yes free!!except for the food and drink of course). The activity is in and around the Beach Bar in Lossiemouth home of the Lossiemouth Folk Club. There are concerts, sessions, workshops, singarounds, entertainment for the kids: There's even space to park your caravan or tent. All the entertainment is provided by whoever wants to play, sing, tell stories, recite poetry and keep the tradition of music, song and story alive......Wonderful stuff...... and everyone is welcome!!
How to get there: From either Inverness or Aberdeen, follow the A96 to Elgin. Then follow the signs for Lossiemouth on the A941. Check out the maps on the folk club / festival website at http://www.lossiefolkclub.co.uk
