The Glasgow Festival Of Songwriting (SongWright) was created in 2007 to promote and encourage of the art of songwriting. The organising group aim to widen the appeal of the art by running an annual festival as well as additional, specific events throughout the year.
2008: Buchanan Hotel, Buchanan Street, Glasgow. Three weekends (Jan 18th, 19 and 20th) (Jan 25th, 26 and 27th) (Feb 1st, 2nd and 3rd) of concerts featuring well known singers and musicians. There'll also be sessions on the Wednesday nights and Open Mike nights on the Thursday nights of each week.
