    Portpatrick Folk Festival

    Friendly festival in a beautiful Harbour village cradled at the foot of rocky cliffs looking across 22 miles of the Irish Channel to Donaghdee. On the Gulf Stream, the area has a mild climate in which sub-tropical plants and trees flourish. The village lies at the foot of a deep cleft cut through the cliffs giving easy access into the hills, to Stranraer eight miles away, and to the rest of glorious Galloway.

    2007: 31st August - 2nd September 2007: sessions around the various pubs in this beautiful area.

    Guests:  The Anna Massie Band - They will be supported by local singer, Robyn Stapleton - fresh from touring Hungary with the National Youth Choir of Scotland"

    The weekend will also feature:
    Life O Reilly and Friends
    Failté
    Swaggar (unplugged)
    Family workshop (kids, if you don't play a specific instrument, make up one - bottle tops on sticks/beans in a plastic bottle, etc)

    Sunday Session with Anna Massie
    Indoor and outdoor sessions, sessions, sessions
    Free shuttle bus around village and between camp/caravan sites and harbour
    Unique festival office!

    2005: (2nd - 4th September 2005) Although an "official" Portpatrick festival is not happening this year, an informal version will be happening, and it being such a wonderful venue, everyone is encouraged to come along and join us for sessions in the pubs and on the sun drenched terraces.
