This new album brings back lost gems of the Scottish harp repertoire. Almost every track is directly connected with the harp, either having been composed for the instrument, or in the case of the only song on the album, beautifully sung by Christine Primrose, the clarsach is mentioned in the words. Alison also includes some of her own original compositions, which blend seamlessly with the music from older times. The album features Alison on gut and wire strung Scottish harps and on cello. Alison is joined by her guests Ann Heymann (wire strung clarsach), Charlie Heymann (bones), Christine Primrose (vocal), Alasdair White (fiddle and whistle), Mike Katz (whistle), and producer Robin Morton (concertina).
There is an additional bonus insofar as their is also a free DVD which features both Alison's music and her glasswork. The DVD contains 3 Films By Robin Morton, Psalnsong, Ayrshire Lasses, Dance Of The Dead Ring Of Crystal, Ring Os Stone, And Much More
