The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra play Edinburgh, The Festival City

    by Scottish Fiddle Orchestra
    Bookmark and Share

Edinburgh, known throughout the world as the 'Festival City' plays host every year to The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. With charismatic humour, flair and masterly control, conductor John Mason presents the Orchestra at its very best. Under the leader for this concert, David Smith, along with soloists Mary Sandeman & James Nicol and violin duetists Alistair McCulloch & Andrew McGarva we travel with Master of Ceremonies Robbie Shepherd on a musical journey through Edinburgh & Scotland. The music and songs presented reach deep into Scotland & Edinburgh's cultural past and merge with modern compositions showing how this rich creative tradition is being maintained & developed in modern times.
