The players on this Cd are all at the top of their profession. William McCallum, Roddy MacLeod and Gordon Walker are all champion competition players of the Highland bagpipe, while Gary West is a renowned Scottish small piper from the folk music scene and a former member of the band Ceolbeg.

Piping doesn't get any better than this.
St Cecilia's Hall in our nation's capital was the setting for The Royal Scottish Pipers' Society Recital in 1999 and 2002; now four true virtuosi of the Great Highland Bagpipe (sic) present their skill in a quite breathtaking album of largely ceol beg, though the ground of the "Lament for John Morrison of Assynt House" is also featured. The artists are Gordon Walker, late Royal Highland Fusiliers; Gary West from Pitlochry, founder member of Clan Alba and recording veteran; PM Roddy MacLeod, Principal of the National Piping Centre, and multi- award winner Willie mcCallum from Campbeltown - a record-breaking six Glenfiddich Championships is only one of his achievements. With names like these on the bill, the subject matter is almost irrelevant, so sit back and enjoy many well-known tunes being executed by genuine masters of their craft. Piping doesn't get any better than this.
