The Corries - Roy Williamson and Ronnie Browne -  were amongst the most famous anfd best-loved musicians in Scotland.  Their television shows were so popular and the music on this CD (and Volume 2) comes from the series "The Corries and Other Folk" first shown on Scottish TV in 1985.
