    The Ha' o Habrahellia

    by Fribo

Fribo is a unique collaboration between three musicians from Norway, Scotland and England, who blend their own musical styles together in an innovative and sensitive way.  Three cultures and one sound. This is an exciting new band with Norwegian singer Anne Sofie Linge Valdal, Scots Highland fiddler, Sarah-Jane Summers and the guitarist and vocalist, Ewan MacPherson.

ANNE SOFIE LINGE VALDAL - Vocals, Flutes, Percussion.  SARAH-JANE SUMMERS - Fiddle & hardanger, Vocals. EWAN MacPHERSON - Guitars, Mandola, Jews Harp, Vocals.

    Media Reviews

Their appealing mix of songs and vibrant instrumentals offer an intriguing mixture of Nordic and Scottish music, with a dash of experimentation thrown in.

THIS multinational trio came together in Edinburgh in 2003, and features Norwegian singer Anne Sofie Linge Valdal, Invernesian fiddler Sarah-Jane Summers and guitarist Ewan MacPherson, born in England of obvious Scottish descent. Their appealing mix of songs and vibrant instrumentals offer an intriguing mixture of Nordic and Scottish music, with a dash of experimentation thrown in. The combination makes for an accomplished debut recording.
