Hugh Marwick and Stuart Mackintosh - The Grit That Makes The Pearl: Lively tunes mainly composed by Hugh and Stuart, plus some trad & new tunes and two Gaelic songs from Eilidh MacKenzie. Hugh (whistle) and Stuart (accordion) are joined by Gavin Marwick (fiddle), Ewan Hemingway (keyboard), Sean Cousins (percussion) and Callum MacGillivray (pipes). The musicians so enjoyed making the CD the decided to form a band and are now known collectively as "The Gritters."
