The north east of Scotland enjoys a high reputation in the world of folk music and Aberdeen group 'The Gaugers' have been prominent in sustaining this tradition. 'The Fighting Scot' was recorded in 1990 and is presented by the group : Tom Spiers (vocal, fiddle and viola), Arthur Watson (vocal and whistle) and the late Peter Hall (vocal, concertina and melodeon). Having previously only been available on cassette, Sleepytown has now re-released the album on CD as a part of The Gaugers collection of four albums.
