    The Foaming Sea

    by Da Fustra
    Bookmark and Share

The Foaming Sea:: Da Fustra's vigour and impulse sweep the dancers through an energetic evening of Shetland favourites.  Not necessarily all traditional tunes, but this lively outfit takes you from swing to surging slow air. A variety of dances played by an experienced and enjoyable group. This is Ceilidh music Shetland-style!

Peter Wood (accordion), Inga Wood (fiddle), Derek Hendry (piano), Cecil Hughson (bass) and Douglas Johnstone (drums).

"Da Fustra" is a rock in the ocean off the Westing in the Island of Unst and the band name is derived from the Norn word 'fuster', meaning 'foaming sea'
