Brilliant musicianship on this their third CD from Corrina Hewat electroharp & vocals, David Milligan, piano , Donald Hay, drums and Colin Steele trumpet. Since their earliest incarnation as duo Bachue Cafe, Corrina & David have matured into mighty fine performers and this album with its confident mix of self-penned, jazz and traditional tunes demonstrates musicians who are comfortable with fusion in a way that many other performers are not. Lovely work from Donald Hay on drums and Colin Steele's trumpet playing is superb.

The broad range of styles flows together seamlessly, sometimes with measured restraint and sometimes with dramatic expansiveness. There is a perfect understanding between the four instruments and Hewat's vocals impress by their ability to tell a story.

This was one of my favourite CDs of 2004. All the material is totally now and breaks new ground as well. Catch them live if you can.
