I find listening to the harp a gentle, soothing and somewhat mystical experience. On this lovely relaxing album, Mary Ann Kennedy and Charlotte Petersen combine their considerable talents to show off the instrument to great advantage. The material is drawn mainly from the celtic tradition but there is also Pachelbe's stately "Canon in D" and the jazz classic "Take Five". Mary Ann Kennedy is also an award winning Gaelic singer and I particularly liked her air from the Island of Barra "An Eal' air a 'Chuan" and the rhythmic "An Coire Riabhach" a 'waulking' song  from South Uist. Both girls have self-penned tunes on this CD and Charlotte Petersen's  gently swinging  "One Hump or Two?" is a highlight.

Mary Ann Kennedy - harp, vocals, backing vocals, Charlotte Petersen - harp, Blair Douglas - keyboards, Neil Hay - bass guitar, Mike Travis - drums, Kirsty Skeldon - fiddle.
