Steve Byrne’s first solo album features songs and poems set to music from his home region of Angus on Scotland’s east coast, including works by Marion Angus and Violet Jacob, and on this performance must surely fully establish himself as one of Scotland’s best traditional male singers. Steve also plays guitars, bouzouki, cittern and bodhrán on the album and enlisted the help of Norwegian Tore Bruvoll (guitar) and Dundonian Chris Wright (mandolin)
