    Spring The Summer Long

by Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham

This 10 track CD has a fine selection of airs, jigs, waltzes strathspeys and reels played by two masters of their instruments. The title track "Spring the Summer Long" is a perfect example of Phil's skill as a composer as is the lovely "Eleanor of Usan". Aly Bain has an instantly recognisable style to his fiddle playing and oh such strength and lyricism in his execution. The pair have produced a delightfully pleasing album which will induce a smile from the first track.

Aly Bain (fiddles) and Phil Cunningham (accordion, whistles, cittern, piano, keyboards, trump, mandolin) with Malcolm Stitt (acoustic guitar, bouzouki) and Stuart Nisbet (acoustic guitar, dobro, pedal steel).
