On hearing Gaelic psalm-singing for the first time, some who are outside the culture find it an intensely moving experience. This CD (no. 6) is one of the the Scottish Tradition Series and consists of a selection of material previously held in the archives of Edinburgh University's School of Scottish Studies. With Murdina MacDonald, Effie MacDonald and precentors Donald MacLeod, Norman MacLeod, Murdo MacLeod and Alasdair Graham with group/congregation from the Island of Lewis.
