The album title 'Roag' is named after a beautiful little place on the Isle of Skye situated below 'The MacLeod's Tables'* near Dunvegan. This is the second album from four-piece Pipedown with instrumentation featuring Highland pipes, smallpipes, whistles, mandolin, guitar, drums and more..A good mix of traditional material together with tunes from some of the best composers of the present day.
Lee Moore (bagpipes, Scottish smallpipes, whistles); Axel Campbell (mandolin, mandola), Steve Reid (guitar), Steve Fivey (percussion).
* Two flat topped hills above Orbost are called MacLeod's Tables (in Gaelic, Healabhal Bheag and Healabhal Mhor).
