    Reel of Four

    by The Occasionals

This is the fourth collection of music by The Occasionals, a selection of sets for Scottish country dancing featuring a range of traditional and contemporary tunes, with some new compositions by accordionist Freeland Barbour and fiddler Ian Hardie. Add in Gus Millar on drums and Kevin Macleod on banjo, mandolin and tenor guitar and you have The Occasionals ~ Reel of Four

Freeland Barbour is arguably one of the finest accordionists in Scotland and has previous solo albums to his credit. He is also widely known for his earlier work with the Wallochmor Ceilidh Band, and as a composer.
Ian Hardie, also a prolific composer, has recorded several solo albums and is also a member of leading folk band Jock Tamson’s Bairns.
Kevin MacLeod is a multi-instrumentalist who has one solo album, plus a recent duo album with ex-De Dannan lynchpin Alec Finn. Both feature Kevin’s amazing skills on stringed, fretted instruments.
Gus Millar is a highly sought after ceilidh band drummer who also worked with the Wallochmor Ceilidh Band - he has wide experience within the Scottish Dance Band scene.
