The CD has fifteen tracks, ranging from jigs, reels and hornpipes to slow tempos and songs. There are some great tunes here, for example Susi’s Waltz and Da Sang O Da Fisher Lad, a song that takes you on a trip round Shetland’s waters. The musicians are hugely talented; Gary Peterson’s banjo playing is mind blowing, as is the mandolin playing (and good to hear it being played as a lead instrument on a lot of the tracks).
Musicians: Gary Peterson (mandolin/banjo), Brian Nicholson (guitar, bass and vocals), Davie Henry (mandolin/vocals) and John Robert Deyell (fiddle and voice over)
