A  National Mod Gold Medal winner in 1965, Mary MacArthur has been a professional performer for much of her adult life.  During her career Mairi MacArthur made several recordings. The repertoire of this CD has been carefully selected from these by herself and skilfully restored. There are eighteen tracks on Measgachadh (the album title means medley or mixture) a few in English but mostly Gaelic including an extremely beautiful version of The Lord's Prayer (Urnaigh an Tighearna). An exquisite voice not to be forgotten.
