An honest and committed artist and one of the most highly respected folk singers in the United Kingdom, Dick Gaughan commits himself to gruelling tours, both in the U.K. and abroad, particularly North America and Australia.
This CD is the first studio album from Dick Gaughan since Outlaws & Dreamers (2001) and although it does have a couple of tracks with just voice/guitar, it's closer to the more orchestrated approach taken on Sail On and Redwood Cathedral.
For the first time he has concentrated on his own compositions/writing - there are seven of his most powerful here. With the exception of the traditional Bleacher Lassie O Kelvinhaugh and Jim Page's song Anna Mae, all the tracks are self-penned.
