Jimmy Shand was the most famous Scottish musician in the whole world. A great button accordion player who, with his band, put Scottish country dance music on the world map. His music made him a star of television, radio, village halls and stadiums. He was quite simply a national treasure.

Foot Stompin’ have been given the chance to stock  a digitally re-mastered set of  CDs by this wonderful Scottish musician who for many years was  the “king” of  the Scottish Dance Band scene and  renowned for his music the world over. Sir Jimmy’s family have  carefully overseen the progression of this project using the original recorded masters  to make  available high quality CDs recordings from the career of this most unique of musicians and including his much loved output from the famous Beltona label years.
