Jim Reid is without doubt one of  Scotland's finest traditional singers. He is joined on this album by John Huband* on accordion.

*"John Huband accompanying Jim here was a absolutely superb box player. John hailed from Dundee and regularly recorded under his own name, and as ‘John Huband and The Tayside Sound’. John could effortlessly play Jazz and Continental as well as Scottish with mind-boggling ability. The tune’ John Hubands Dancing Fingers’ could not have been named better. John’s party piece was to play The High Level Hornpipe and The Tushkar, etc on THE BASS end, with note perfect ability and finishing at breakneck speed. He also composed some excellent tunes, ‘The Box and Fiddle Rag’ is a cracker.....John sadly left us much too early in 2000, a great loss to the musical world including his much loved pupils.
