Jim Cameron's Scottish Dance Band: Volume Two

by Jim Cameron Scottish Dance Band
    Bookmark and Share

Jim Cameron's Scottish Dance Band: Vintage 78s - 1951 to 1952: More Vintage Scottish Dance music from 1951 - 1952 featuring the ever-popular Angus band-leader Jim Cameron and his Scottish Dance Band. These digitally re-mastered releases will be greatly enjoyed by all dance music enthusiasts. The band has a distinguished sound as they included a cornet in the lineup - it was an idea which Cameron picked up for Midlothian bandleader Willie Hannah. 21 tracks on this album and together with the 27 from Volume 1 give the listener almost half of the bands recordings. Jim Cameron and his Scottish cuntry Dance Band were without doubt the Beltona label's biggest name in the post war period.

21 tracks and over 62 minutes of music

The line-up is Jim Cameron (fiddle), May Cameron (accordion), Bill Powrie (accordion), Nigel Alexander (piano), Henry Webster (drums) and the special touch of Dod Michie (cornet).
