James Alexander a leading light of the "Fochabers Fiddlers" is not only an excellent fiddler in subtly understated manner, but a brilliant composer as well. Fiddle solo, fiddle with piano, fiddle with accordion and drums, and with cello. Superb arrangements, essentially Scottish marches, waltzes with a transatlantic swing, plus some Scott Skinner too. This is a very enjoyable album to listen to and you will also enjoy James's distinctive style of fiddle playing.
