Heat the Hoose is a collection of truly great performances recorded live at Scotland's top fiddle festival This CD showcases traditional fiddling at its very best and includes a spine-tingling performance of 'Lochaber no more' from the great Alasdair Fraser in which the entire audience hum a sound of a pipe drone in the background. Artists:
Alasdair Fraser - the most famous traditional fiddler to come out of Scotland. He now lives in California where he has a renowned fiddle school.
Connaillaigh - a group of wild Donegal fiddlers including the amazing Liz Doherty.
Aidan O'Rourke - fantastic player from Seil Island who is also part of the great band Tabache with Clare Mann.
Claire Mann - from Newcastle, Clare is an all Ireland champion and is picking uo styles from all the gifted young players of her generation.
Paul Anderson - A great exponent of the North-eastern fiddle style.
Alasdair White - a beautiful sound yet only thirteen years old!
Clare McLaughlin - Clare, from Glasgow plays with great young band Deaf Shepherd.
Amy Geddes - Amy is the folk musician in Residence for the South Lanarkshire Council and also is a member of Tannas.
Eilidh Shaw - West Highland fiddler from Taynuilt Eilidh plays with fabulous traditional band Keep it Up and the Poozies.
Karen Steven - Karen hails from John O' Groats and has been taught by Buddy McMaster and Alasdair Fraser.
Chris Stout - Amazing young player from the Shetland Isles who is also a member of Fiddlers Bid.
