Empty Beer Bottles and Peat Fire Smoke Polly
I saw Iain play in Ullapool in Sept 04 it was during a visit by my two sons and their partners, we were all blown away by this young mans talent. My eldest bought the album at the gig but i didn't and i regret to say i forgot about him!! During a recent visit by my son i was reaquainted with this album and was blown away again. The music the words and talent are equaly amazing, beautiful and haunting, i've played it over and over again and will be making everyone i know listen to it and BUY IT!!
On a personal and sad note, that gig was the last time the 5 of us were all together, my youngest son Mat aged 26 died Sept 1st 05 from a suspected spider bite.
Track 10 Home was played by his brother Tom at Mats send off on the top of Stac Pollaidh when 26 rockets containing Mats ashes were sent to the stars.
I wait in anticipation to hear his next release...and hopefully see him in Ullapool again before too long.
