This is the popular Gaelic band Sgorrabreac's second CD, launched at Coda Music during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and already well-received by trad fans and by radio stations. As usual, Sgorrabreac's distinct hallmark is to blend in carefully crafted arrangements well-known repertoire such as Fear a' bhata and Far an robh mi'n raoir with more eclectic material uniquely covered by Sgorrabreac: songs from the bard George Campbell Hay and by the Scottish composer Alasdair Nicolson with lyrics by contemporary Gaelic poet, Aonghas MacNeacail.
Margaret Nicolson on vocals , piano and fiddle Michel Byrne on vocals, djembe and whistle Stewart McDonald on guitar and bouzouki Orna Gilchrist on fiddle.
