Best of Battlefield Band/Temple Records - a 25 year legacy (double album)

    by Battlefield Band

The first CD in this great compilation comprises 19 tracks selected from the 18 albums which the Battlefield Band has made over 33 years. The line up may have changed several times but always this amazing band have remained true to their roots and  brought recognition and respect for their talent and great musicianship from the four corners of the globe. To quote Alan Reid, the one remaining original member from 1977, "The Battlefield Band is a reflection, and one of the energisers, of a vigorous living tradition measured by the increasing number of highly talented young people who are making this their music of choice."

This is a wonderful collection including tracks from  classic albums such as "Anthem for the Common Man", Home is Where the Van is" and "On the Rise" and it's great to hear such stellar musicians as Brian McNeill, John McCusker, Duncan McGillivray, Iain MacDonald and more.

The second CD marks a 25 year legacy of Temple Records  and comprises 25 tracks from a whole variety of great artists including Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipeband, harpist Alison Kinnaird, Mac-Talla, Flora MacNeil, Seamus Tansey, Gordon Mooney and many more.
