The aim of the project is to encourage mothers, fathers, grannies and other carers of young children to sing to their children. With 25 songs - dandling songs, singing games, action songs, and yes! lullabies - this collection, sung by Christina Stewart, features arrangements on traditional instruments by multi-instrumentalist, Bob Pegg; harper, Bill Taylor and fiddle and viola player, Olivia Ross.
The collection includes Scottish favourites Ali Bally Bee (Coultart's Candy), Wee Chookie Birdie, Aiken Drum, Brochan Lom, The Herrins' Heids, 'S ann an Ile, Three Craws, Hey Jock ma Cuddy, I Had a Wee Hen, Tha mi dol a Dheanamh Banais, Wee Willie Winkie, A Sailor Went to Sea, The World Must be Coming to an End, and others, along with full words, translations where necessary and ideas for parents and playleaders on how to use the songs.
