    The Strathclyde Police Pipers - Solo Pipers, Quartet & Mini Band

    This excellent Strathclyde Police album from 1991 features PM Ian McLellan and five other noted soloists from within the ranks of the Strathclyde Police Pipe Band. The band had an unequalled 10 World Pipe Band Championships in a 12 year period including an historic 6-in-a-row from 1981 to 1986. Within the Strathclyde Police there always has been solo pipers of distinction and this CD features:

    Solo Piping: P.M Ian McLellan BEM; Inspector Barry Donaldson; James Wark; Harol McAleer; Kevin Moffat; Ian Plunkett.

    Drummers in Mini-band: D.S. John Kirkwood; John Kennedy; John Thomson; John Harvey.

    The Pipe Quartet: James Wark; Harol McAleer; Kevin Moffat; Ian Plunkett.
