Duncan Johnstone (1925-1999) was one of the finest pipers of his generation, a prolific composer of some 70 tunes and a exceptionally well-regarded piping tutor. This 45 minute CD, originally recorded on cassette in the Nave of Dunfermline Abbey is a rare chance to hear Duncan Johnstone perform a selection of his own choice. Includes Duncan's piobaireachd, 'Lament for Alan My Son'. A fantastic piping album!
