Archie's return to the recording studio in the mid 80s was due to what he describes as his most creative songwriting period, which coincided with a series of North American tours in partnership with Garnet Rogers. Garnet produced the albums on his own Snowgoose label the last of which was "Sunsets I've Galloped Into". Spanning twenty years of songwriting by Archie and a few friends. Every songs has had a season and holds a special place surrounded by its particular memories. So, it seemed the most narural thing to bring them together as a gathering of old friends.

Archie is more than a singer, accomplished accompianist and songwriter; his is one of Britain's finest song interpreters, in the same league as Martin Carthy or Dick Gaughan. Listening to his Sunsets I've Galloped Into...drums in that lesson better than any words."
