This album contains a really nice collection of music. The tunes have an easy familiarity and pace which is rather beguiling. The tunes which make up the first set, would, according to the sleevenotes, have been popularly played for the old-style 'dancing on the road'. A fascinating thought! Freeland Barbour is a talented musician who plays not only piano accordion, but is also a fine button accordionist and pianist to boot.
