Nick Keir Is a fine singer songwriter and instrumentalist who is perhaps better known for his work with Scottish folk band The McCalmans. On this CD he ably demonstrates his considerable talents with a collection featuring mainly his own songs. Nick writes, "it represents 30 years in the business, from Finn mac Cuill via 7:84 Theatre to 22 years in the McCalmans. I've always written songs with a strong sense of place, which reveal my feelings for Scotland with all its glories and imperfections. While I love to write songs about Scotland's history, I've now incorporated modern songs on 'All Over This Town' that address contemporary issues and emotions but have their roots firmly in Scotland."

bought this after seeing Nick Keir do a couple of songs at an open mike...absolutely love this, wonderful songs, great tunes, and I can't stop playing it
