In the 80's Silly Wizard were the reason for an awakening interest in traditional music at least amongst young Scots who, if they had thought about it at all, would have dismissed it as decidedly uncool. But Silly Wizard had youth and exuberance and demonstrated folk music could be exciting stuff! Their music was fast, furious and stirring and their concerts attracted thousands. Stewart, Martin Hadden and Gordon Jones were the kings of celtic music.
