This collection of 56 tunes (a few of which are traditional tunes), have been composed by John McCusker mainly during his time as fiddler with the renowned Battlefield Band. From an early age John has always loved to sit down at the piano or pick up his fiddle and compose new tunes. In this collection, John has written the tunes down the way that he would play them himself ... but he encourages the players to feel free to add their own ornamentation and interpret them in any way they choose ... and therefore make them their own. John McCusker is one of Scotland's foremost traditional musicians. A professional since the age of seventeen, he was a vital member of the renowned Battlefield Band and toured the world with them for 11 years. He is an amazing performer, the producer of some of the best selling folk recordings, a guest much sought after by major live and recording artists and a composer of exquisite melodies which are performed world wide. He has composed for film and television including the score for Billy Connolly's Musical Tour of New Zealand.
