Extract from Jim Johnstone's Foreward : " Bobby during his musical career, was an innovator and an improviser. He contiually added flair and excitement to a dance tune, not by changing the arrangement all that much, but by putting his own stamp on a tune by his style of playing.......................This collection due to copyright restriction, represents about fifty per cent of his own compositions and displays examples of the varied talent he had. His tunes are widely recognised and enjoyed, not only in the Scottish Dance scene but also by the Folk and Piping enthusiasts.
