The Finlay MacDonald Band,Brings together the tightest of Jazz,Funk grooves with blistering traditional and contemporary Tunes on pipes and fiddle. The band has been it's current line up for about three years and, alongside Finlay on bagpipes & whistles, the band features Chris Stout (Fiddle), Kevin MacKenzie (Guitar), John Speirs(Bass) and Fergus MacKenzie(Drums). This outfit really rocks!
The band have been keen to explore their country's musical heritage in greater depth and focus on the interaction between different musical styles while keeping the greatest respect for the tradition. The exciting pedigree of this group of accomplished musicians tells you you're in for a vibey, rhythm-filled listen which is enhanced further in their live performances.

With the ubiquitous Kevin MacKenzie and Chris Stout on guitars and fiddles, over drum and bass, this is a slice of contemporary Scottish tradition - where bagpipes lounge around wearing shades and tracks have titles like 'Abdul's' and 'Bulgarian'.
