'Rise and Fall o' Charlie' - FREE concert in Edinburgh: 4th December 2009

It will be a special one off performance of the album featuring most of the musicans involved at The Reference Library in Edinburgh Central Library, George 1V Bridge on the evening of Friday Dec. 4th. (7pm) and featuring Alan Reid, Rob van Sante, Wendy Weatherby,Maeve MacKinnon and Susan Miller. The concert will be FREE to the public. To reserve your ticket email Garry Gale: garry.gale@edinburgh.gov.uk Rise and Fall of Charlie CD: This CD charts in song the rise & fall of Prince Charles Edward Stuart (better known as Bonnie Prince Charlie) from his arrival as a 21 year old in the North West of Scotland to raise an army and wrest the throne of Britain back to the Stuarts through to the crushing defeat of Culloden, his ultimate failure and death in exile. Alan Reid and Rob Van Sante have put together an excellent CD with some great traditonal songs and excellent ensemble of singers and musicians. |
