'....riveting: the howling pipes, ululating fiddle and crashing keyboards are as darkly magnificent as anything the Battlefield Band has ever recorded'
froots, reviewing ‘Zama Zama…try your luck…’

'...one of the great institutions of the Scottish music scene'
BBC Music Review, reviewing ‘Zama Zama…try your luck…’

'...fiery instrumentals, plaintive ballads and social history......a fabulous album, with the whole band at the top of their game'
Zeitgeist Review, reviewing ‘Zama Zama…try your luck…’

'The feisty new album from the Battlefield Band sees them in absolutely peak form...'
froots, reviewing ‘Zama Zama…try your luck…’

'[Alan Reid's 'Robber Barons' is]...a song of quiet and thoughtful fury......It takes a mature and sophisticated band to do justice to such a song, but Battlefield Band are just that'
