Need I say more? OK - Organisers are now looking for people over the age of 18 "of every shape and size" to bare all at the event.

Dances suggested include strip the willow and the "flashing" white sergeant.

The ceilidh is the brainchild of Scots photographer Alistair Devine, and will also form the third in his series of "naked-art photo-shoots".

Everyone to their own I suppose...

"We are looking for participants of every shape and size "

:-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

The Gay Gordons should be interesting.

Also all eyes will be on who gets up for 'The Virginia Reel'

Lots of hanging about.

So, a completely original idea.

A naked ceilidh. Weird fetish porn or dodgy art? Sounds like the DT deleriums of many a teuchter - accompanied by sweats, night terrors and various heebie-jeebies.

It's enough to make you take up abstinence.

Wouldn't work for RSCDS. Without the kilts and sashes they could never tell the men and women apart.

I'm just trying not to picture a Cumberland Square 8....

Onto the main topic though, I'm against this mass-nudist movement (art movement, not dancing!)

Art patrons always defend nudes by saying it's not about objectifying the human body, but when you're looking at so many, they are genuinely reduced to mere objects. It also brings art to the level of reality TV -- a bunch of nobodies (well, bodies, anyway) turn up, some "genius" points a camera at them and then sells it for lots of money, taking all the praise.

It would be like some smart Alex to place a wee Blue pill in the drinks beforehand. :-)

That would give them a hard time !

So, is this the meaningful discussion Simon was seeking to encourage through this forum? See earlier thread re Facebook etc.

Can we nominate participants?
I have a long-held ambition to see a row of MCPs dancing the pas-de-basque in the buff, give us all a laugh- -- !!!!
