Blazin' in Beauly was started by the band Blazin' Fiddles in the historic village of Beauly, 15 miles west of Inverness. With the aim of being "much more than a fiddle school" the intention of the week in Beauly is to immerse people in the music of the Highlands and Islands. You get the chance to work with world class performers; but the instruction is only a part of the week - the sessions, the talks, the concerts and the craic all add up to make Blazin' in Beauly THE fiddle event in the UK. In addition there will be a variety of afternoon workshops including gaelic singing, masterclasses, group work and sessions. Our tutors for this this year are: CONCERTS Sun 10 Oct - Blazin' in Beauly - Sunday Outing Mon 11 Oct - The Welcome Concert - The Blazin in Beauly Variety Show Wed 13 Oct - Guest Tutors Concert The Clunes Collection - a celebration of Donald Riddell, one of the most influential musicians of the last century.
