As inevitably happens, there have been some teething probs but we think it's all sorted now and ready to roll.

It's actually very good. Well done.

I didn't know you were a Lee Dorsey fan though but there's no harm in letting these youngsters know about him.

Thanks, JAJ - who wouldn't like Lee Dorsey?
We had teething problems (sod's law) on the launch day and discovered that a software bug was causing a set number of tracks to repeat on rotation. Not the best start, but it's all sorted now.

Thanks, Mandobass last few glitches ironed out and, fingers crossed, all running smoothly now. We uploaded hundred more cracking tracks over the weekend.
We need to give credit and thanks to Andrea Meneghini of Dialogue Website Design for his invaluable input.

We've been painting the back of the house today and decided to have this going non-stop and everybody agrees that it's a superb selection of music. Could do with a little more Scots trad, though, just to bring a bit of balance. That Hawaiian track is totally nuts!
Off to the pub, so back down to earth with a bang as far as the music goes.

Chug - there's a huge selection of great Scottish material in the library from Tony McManus, Fraser Fifield and Bruce MacGregor to The Explosive Fiddles, Karine Polwart, Wendy Stewart, Wolfstone and The Vatersay Boys, to name but a few.
And more select tracks being added on a daily basis.

I've had a full day baking in the kitchen, getting ready for Margaret's birthday bash on Sunday. I've been tuned in all day and what a treat it's been. Now Tom has just announced that he has found some kind of widget that will let him hook up to the internet while he's in the tractor cab.
Unbelieveable.

We have had another few gremlins to sort out but it seems that finally, The Listening Station is doing exactly what we hoped it would when we launched the project.

We have added over 1500 hand-picked new tracks to the library this week too, so the selection is much broader.

Thanks to everyone who made contact with comments, most of them favourable.

Fingers crossed - no more tweaks.

Re Chug's pevious comment, we just added a fresh selection of great Scottish tracks including FONN, the brand new album from The Campbells, which is simply gorgeous. We like Mystery Juice too.

Thanks for the update, that's good news.
Heard a track from the Litha album which was superb.
Been listening again today and have to note that I had forgotten what a class act Laura Boosinger is.
How the heck is she not a bigger name?

We are just back from a break in Majorca - corr blimey it's freezin!
We checked this out today and thought the choice of tracks is pretty damned good.
First time I've heard Brolum on the "radio" for a wee while and it fair brought great memories flooding back.
Just wondering, though, how on earth does something like this pay for itself?

BGPR - is this only available in the UK ?

When I try to access it here in Germany I just get an error message.

Best wishes from Berlin

Hi Keith

it's andrea here, the webmaster for the listening station. I am sorry but we decided to adopt a one-step-at-a-time attitude and due to licensing restrictions in the first phase of operation, the site can only be accessed in the UK and Ireland.

Hopefully it will change once the word starts to spread, and that initial feedback has been very encouraging

best regards

Just added tracks from Gillie Mackenzie's fine new album, Griais, today. Well worth a listen.
