Posted: 09-Nov-2010 14:34 I watched this last night and I'm not sure what to think of it. I am wondering if Norman McCaig told all his pals to go fishing at the Loch at the Green Corrie or did |

Posted: 09-Nov-2010 15:36 I did GM. It was excellent. Norman's poems are intriguing - like his one about the left-handed fiddler....and Aly Bain 's playing of 'Mrs Jamieson's Favourite' reminded me again what a great fiddler he is |

Posted: 09-Nov-2010 18:49 Several folk in my SMG class were raving about it this morning, so as I was out - yet again- last night, I am downloading the TV programme to iPlayer: I caught some of the radio programme in the car this afternoon too. |

I go sidelong. |

Posted: 10-Nov-2010 08:03 We "did" Norman MacCaig at school and I loved it. Unfortunately it was around the same time as I was introduced to Ivor Cutler records, and ever since then I read Norman MacCaig's poetry with Ivor Cutler's voice in my head. |

Posted: 10-Nov-2010 11:43 Just watching this now. What's the fiddle music that's playing behind the shots. Aly Bain and who? |

Posted: 10-Nov-2010 12:32 @Rory That was a funny comment about hearing Ivor Cutler's voice reading Norman MacCaig. I'll be hearing Ivor every time I read his poetry now. It's ironic that the only volume of MacCaig's poetry that I have is entitled "Voice-Over"!! LOL! |
