Posted: 31-Jan-2011 10:22 I see that a study at Glasgow Caledonian University has established that playing the bagpipes can lead to glaucoma and optic nerve damage. The last scare about bagpipes was that they could make you go deaf. Seems to be quite a hazardous instrument to play! |

This demonstrates how experts are not necessarily the best source of advice. The answer is for pipers to switch to bellows-blown instruments. There you are: simple, clear advice completely removing this risk factor and you read it first on this forum. |
